Feedstuffs FoodLink: Consumer demand will adjust

The U.S. economy is in more of a recovery than thought, and although many market analysts are concerned that higher prices for meat, poultry and dairy that are making their way into retail stores are putting consumer demand at risk, they won’t, according to economist Mark C. Snead.

“Never underestimate the ability of demand to adjust” to changes in the economy, such as higher prices for food, he told Feedstuffs last week in Denver, Colo.
